I wish the camera could catch all the sparkle of this diamond dot feather bookmark I just finished.
I wish Dolly Parton had told us how sick she was so we could’ve paid proper tribute before she passed. I would’ve loved to have sent her this bookmark.
I finished my diamond dot suncatcher.
Good old Art Glitter Glue was just the ticket for fixing the small portion of the design that became detached.
When I added the hanging chain to the finished suncatcher, I put one latch on backwards from the other. When I tried to remove it, a little piece of film came off the back. It looked like there was a protective film on the back. There was!
What a difference it made to remove it!
I wondered if my tree of life had one, too. It was fairly dull on the back. I got it out of the window.
Sure enough! Again, what a difference removing it made!
I’ll have to check the one I did at the beach!
This diamond dot project is almost done. There’s one little section that stuck to the release paper. I cut it out and stuck it back in place, but now I need some glue to stick the dots to the little scrap of release paper.
Then I realized this is a metaphor for my life. At 70, I’m almost done. I’m gonna need a lot more glue before I finish.
This kit has rhinestones! It’s a window hanging. If its not too gaudy, I’ll hang it in the window of my strawberry kitchen!
I have to smile because it happened. Laura and I ate, crafted, napped, watched the ocean and walked on the beach.
I did some hunting, too! I hunted shells and sea foam and sunsets! Here are some of my “captures.”

I got this one to work on at the beach next week, if all goes as planned. It reminds me of some photos I’ve taken there.
It was only $5.99 on Amazon, and has everything I need except a pair of scissors.
There are no rhinestone dots to add the extra sparkle shown in the photo, but I have some in my stash leftover from my snowflakes project.
This is a huge project, and I do tend to tire of things quickly. I might have to take several beach trips to finish this one!

I wasn’t really impressed by the diamond dot craze when it started. I thought Van Gogh’s Starry Night was pretty, but didn’t care for the look of the square plastic tiles.
Then I discovered the rhinestone dots! Now I am hooked! It’s like the Bedazzler met Mosaics, and they fell in love!
or colors, that is! I got to do a little dotting, tonight, with the correct colors!

I missed my midnight deadline to blog last night because of a truly minuscule disaster. I knocked my dots off! Three sticky roller sheets later I had them corralled and went back to work on this:

Yes indeed! The color numbers on the dot packs are wrong! I wrote a warning review on Amazon, and got busy scratching off dots and moving them to the other side of the Empire State Building. I started with the black ones and OCD-ed till 1:00am. Oops! ‘Missed a deadline!
