I discovered this quilt:
It needed an identifying plaque, but I have no doubt it was done by the Ashe County Piecemaker’s Guild.
The mountain scene in the middle reflects the view from the courthouse.
I had to get a close-up of the cows!
Then, I found this print in the second floor lounge.
I got the artist’s name on this one:
I’ll have to see if I can find her online.
‘Working on my first pre-cut, pre-fused quilt kit. It’s an Amy Bradley design, but my class with Laura Wasilowski gave me the courage to try. Guess whose release paper I am still using?
She’s tack-fused in place. I’ll save the rest for another day. It is fun, like working a puzzle!
I attended the Forsyth Piecemakers and Quilters Guild Show last Saturday. Here are a few of my favorite quilts. I’ll add more and commentary a little later. This Carolina Lily was my personal favorite. It won “Best Hand Quilting.”
