Light Rays over Water

Light Rays over Water
Light Rays over Water

I tried Rhonda Dohna’s Light Rays”stamp over Eddie Reyes’ “Water” stamp.

They are on heavy watercolor paper (cardstock, really,) and I didn’t get the absorbency I expected. I also used an old, but unopened, pack of assorted Izink ink pads.

I still like the combination very much, and it suited the fireworks I was hearing in the distance while stamping last night (7-4-26.)

I’m excited at the possibilities of using these stamps with metallic paints, mica and embossing powders, and maybe even glitter glue!

Both stamps are available at PMartist Studios.

I really like my “stamp off” paper!

My last little order…

My last little order…
My last little order…

won’t be my last order! I love stencils and stamps from PMartist Studio.

This order contains the Gauze stencil I’ve been wanting for quite a while. I’m a big fan.

There are also 4 foam stamps. They are hard to see, so I’ve borrowed Mariah’s (M’s) photos:

Field Mouse, my favorite quote involves a mouse so I had to have it!
Bitty Border Style 2 Swirls
Mini Mesh
Water

This last stamp, “Water,” was designed by Eddie Reyes of EddieMakesArt.

All the other designs are “in house,” which usually means they were designed by Brad Rushing, Mariah’s husband. I really think Brad should credit himself like the other designers.

Each order also contains PMartist’s calling card, a sample of Patricia’s (P’s) fabulous gel prints, and a mini stencil. This one looks like a cluster of bubbles!

They are very generous at PMartist’s Studio!

Ink Lessons

Ink Lessons

inksSharpie fine point permanent markers work better on glass than Sharpie pens.

I can clean Stazon ink off glass and stamps with alcohol, so no wonder it smears with alcohol inks. I’ll have to find something else to use with them. Memento looks good, and so does Ranger Archival ink.

Metallic gel inks look good under glass and can be used to highlight images before decoupaging them. (See the navy and white gem.)

Alcohol inks can be used to color Diamond Glaze. Sharpie ink can be used on top of that when it dries. (yellow gem)

Stamps are expensive. Simple designs can be drawn with permanent ink pens. Look for Memento pens (heart gem)

The best way to stamp glass gems is to ink the stamp and very carefully press the gem to the stamp. Pick the gem straight up from the stamp. (butterflies gem)
