Playing with Air Play

Tonight, I am trying to watch a video course from domestika.org on my tv. I have a Roku stick in a Visio tv.

The course is on composition in graphic design. I open my domestika app, and find my course. I click play on the chapter I wish to watch, and these icons appear:

Note the little tv icon with a triangle at the bottom (circled in magenta here.) Tap that icon and this appears for me.

I choose Roku Rocky because that’s the name I gave the Roku stick in this room:

I push play, again, on my phone and look what appears on my screen!

I have the Domestic app pre-set for English subtitles and voice over. Most presenters are Brazilian.

Here are other photos of my tv screen during the playing of the video course:

My presenter’s name is Javier Alcaraz.

It is much easier to watch on tv than my phone!

Eye of the Peacock

I was shopping online for photos of peacock feathers, and thought, “I have a couple of peacock feathers, upstairs. Let’s see what I can get with the iPhone.”

These aren’t all, but I’m keeping all of them for now. Even the blurry ones can be blurred more and faded for backgrounds.

My old iPhone 6 seemed to take better macros. I still have it. I wonder if I charged it up, I could try a few super close shots? Another experiment for another day!
