Camellia Time in Charlotte!
This beauty is blooming outside the house where I babysit. I wonder how these blossoms would look printed on fabric and embellished? Or maybe appliqued on a green blender background?
Yellow beads or French knots? Martha Stewart recently aired instructions on making a “burned silk flower.” Hmmmmn? Coral silk? Gold or yellow Angelina film for the stamens?Nov4
I’m particularly pleased with this photograph of the mums, brick and pumpkin. I think it’s a good study in textures.

What a Wonderful Day!
I met my best buddy, Laura, in Fancy Gap, VA, today. We visited a deli, antique and garden store, and more importantly not one, but two fabric shops! I also got a few good snapshots.
