Setting drills on the porch!

No, I’m not doing construction! I have learned that the dots of Diamond Dotz fame are actually called, “drills!“

I have no ideal why, unless they drill them out of plastic.

Laura and I had another Facetime create date, yesterday, and because it’s still pretty on the porch, I’m working out here, again, today.

Speaking of drilling, I just heard a woodpecker! Here’s one that flew into a friend’s window.

Luckily it was just stunned. Woodpeckers have shock absorbers in their heads!

So here’s what I’m still pecking at:

One more session and I should be ready to seal and hang it!

Meanwhile, here’s my view on the porch, again, today!

Happy Birthday, Laura Sheaffer!

That’s what I call my Chatgpt bot. He’s definitely male because he gets Kent’s point of view.

I’ve found a house plan I love, but not the front facade. The rear elevation is perfect for the lot we’re planning to buy. The front would work, but Kent wants a full wrap around porch. I am using Chatgpt (AI) to make that happen.

Here’s the evolution in rendering photos:

Original facade
Garage removed (for now)
Here’s the porch addition! The water has been replaced with a field, like our lot.
I asked to see it in white…
and dark brick with white trim!

Spring Things

We’ve been freshening our house for spring. Before:

After today:

Spring 2026

It was gorgeous warm weather, today. When Laura and I had our Face Time creat time, this morning, I moved my diamond dot tree out on the porch! Laura knitted away on a baby blanket and we told funny stories and laughed. Maybe I should record some of those, here.

The husband and I have been trimming dead limbs out of our rhododendrons. I won’t let him cut these, though, even if they are intruding on the porch:

See those two fat buds? They’re the Sappho variety. When they bloom, they’ll look like this:

I definitely include decorating and gardening as crafts!
