I finished PJ’s Winnie the Pooh quilt just in time for his Winnie the Pooh party! The outside border is quilted with hand embroidery following the stamped design. The center area has hand embroidered details here and there. I decided to hand tie this area and hope that the little ties looked like more bees swarming around the “hunny” pots.

I found this label at Hancock Fabrics. I’d wanted to print my own label to co-ordinate with the quilt design, but this will suffice for now.

PJ’s first birthday party is coming up! ‘Wish I could say I designed the invitation, but my daughter did it! She used an online website that I’ll have to find out about. I scanned it and opened it in “Paint” so I could cover up the personal information.

I’ve got to get his “Pooh” quilt finished!!!!! I’m also considering composing a “PJ Dictionary” so folks attending can understand all his precious first words! “Pooh Buh!” is Pooh Bear by the way!
He loves the Winnie the Pooh theme song and will always stop fussing if you sing it–a very useful tool, indeed!

AND DO NOT LET ME FORGET TO TRACE HIS LITTLE HAND! I’d like to do that every birthday, transfer them to fabric, and make a quilt someday.

It was on clearance, see? This reminds me, my craft book library file is getting way too big. Somewhere around here I have a cute, pink, pen drive that I found at Staples for not much money. It would be just the thing to load my library file. Hmmmnn…now what safe, logical-at-the-time place did I store it?

The doors are hard to see, but they’re made of tempered glass. That’s essential with Peter James toddling around! I plan to get a bigger TV, but I really like this one as the base is broad and not as likely to topple, (especially on this larger stand, excuse me, credenza!) I’ll put a toddler latch on the doors and that should keep Mr. Busy’s little fingers off the cable box buttons, too!

Another Mistake!

This back panel was supposed to be positioned so that the holes were near the bottom. I thought that was what I was doing till I sat it upright. This is a mistake I’ll just learn to live with ’cause I am not going to try to remove the 24 little nails I used to attach the thing! I had a look at the front and it doesn’t seem to be too bad a mistake:

Now, I’m probably getting ready to make yet another mistake. The directions say to put the doors on before installing the shelf. That seems backwards to me so I’ll do it my way…
