I did the beadwork by hand, and there is a small
amount of silk ribbon embroider
y. The straps and
bookmark are gold organza ribbon.
I think I might have gone too far with the bead embellishment. The fabric is beautiful enough to stand on its own, as you can see from the back.
I am pretty proud of it, however. I made the pattern myself using my AutoCad software.
I thought I would love this jacquard yarn with it’s bright colors, but I see now why it’s in Bernat’s “Jr.” collection instead of the one for babies. It’s just too bright. I do enjoy the colors, though, and will save it for some future project.
Well, it looks like the problem I had with my email hacker is no longer. I am feeling much stronger, finally, after my surgery. I have been working on many projects in my stitchery and knitting (especially for the grandbaby!) and hope to post photos, soon.
